Healthy Start Limited Medical MEC

The Healthy Start Limited Medical Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) plan provides limited coverage for the most frequently utilized healthcare services to help you keep cost in check and enjoy a healthier life. 

Offering coverage for a variety of Essential Health Benefits, this plan provides coverage for health care reform preventive services and medications at $0 copay. It also provides limited coverage for PCP visits ($25 copay per visit), specialist visits ($50 copay per visit) and Urgent Care visits ($150 per visit).

This plan meets health reform requirements — no pre-existing condition exclusions, no annual or lifetime dollar limits and $0 copayments for preventive services. Included with the plan is an annual out-of-pocket maximum which is the most you will pay in a plan year. When using network providers the annual maximum is $9,100 for an individual and $18,200 for a family.  

You must use a network provider for your plan to cover your plan benefits, except for medically necessary emergency care  or as otherwise required by law.
