Wherever you are on your health journey, our health plans include all kinds of wellness programs and health services designed to support you.

Mental health support

Calm Health is available through your plan at no additional cost to you. This means you’ll have access to the widely recognized mental well-being Calm app, which offers resources for sleep, meditation and mindfulness. With 24/7 access to digital content, you can set your own pace on the path toward a healthier you as you get help with information to meet goals like better sleep, building skills to manage stress, developing resiliency and building a mindfulness habit.

The use of Calm Health is not a substitute for care by a physician or other health care provider. Any questions that you may have regarding the diagnosis, care, or treatment of a medical condition should be directed to your physician or health care provider. Calm Health is not available to UnitedHealthcare E&I Fully Insured customers/members in District of Columbia, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.

Virtual maternity support

Included in your health plan is a membership to Maven – 24/7 virtual support and guidance for you and your partner during your pregnancy, postpartum and newborn journey. With the app, get free access to a dedicated Care Advocate, virtual appointments and messaging, and on-demand classes, groups and articles 

The Maven app also provides support with:

  • Creating your birth plan
  • Breastfeeding and bottle-feeding
  • Navigating infant sleep
  • Returning to work
  • Managing your mental health

NICU support

When you have a baby in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), you want to make sure they’re getting the very best care. Neonatal Resource Services offers a team of skilled neonatologists, NICU nurse case managers and social workers to help during your baby’s stay. They provide support from admission to after discharge, personalizing their care to your baby’s needs.

The plan pays benefits as described under the Covered Health Care Services Category in your plan documents.

Building healthier habits

Real Appeal® is an online weight management program designed to help you build healthier habits and lose weight. It focuses on helping you take small steps that may have long-term results, and it provides support for key areas such as nutrition, fitness, motivation, and change. It includes online coaching, tools to track your progress, access to online fitness content, and more.

Real Appeal® is a voluntary weight management program that is offered to eligible members at no additional cost as part of their benefit plan. Any items/tools that are provided may be taxable and participants should consult an appropriate tax professional to determine any tax obligations they may have from receiving items/tools under the program.

Transplant care support

With Transplant Resources Services, you’ll have access to support throughout your care. In addition to being connected with experienced nurses who will help coordinate care with your doctors, you’ll have access to travel and lodging assistance as well as expert clinical support to help inform you on treatment plan options.

Disease Management programs and services may vary on a location-by-location basis and are subject to change with written notice. UnitedHealthcare does not guarantee availability of programs in all service areas and provider participation may vary. Certain items may be excluded from coverage and other requirements or restrictions may apply. If you select a new provider or are assigned to a provider who does not participate in the Disease Management program, your participation in the program will be terminated. Self-Funded or Self-Insured Plans (ASO) covered persons may have an additional premium cost. Please check with your employer.
