With the NV Direct Compensation Plan, you have the flexibility to select any general dentist in the plan network. You aren't required to select a primary care dentist but it's helpful to have one.  

If you choose a dentist that isn't in the network, you won't receive coverage. However, if a network dental provider is not available within a reasonable distance of where you live or work, you may be referred to an out-of-network dental provider and still receive services at the network rate.

By seeing a general dentist in the network, preventive care such as exams, cleanings and other preventive services are most often covered 100% with a zero-dollar copay. 

Referrals are required to see a specialist. 

There’s no deductible or minimum amount that must be paid before the plan begins to pay. There’s also no annual maximum, which is the limit to how much the plan will pay each plan year.

Cost sharing

Most dental plans share the same idea: there’s what you pay for care, when you pay for it, and how much of those care costs you and your plan share. 

This plan pays for preventive care

Preventive and diagnostic services, including exams and cleanings, are covered 100%  when provided by a network dentist.

You have access to discounts

This plan includes a discount program where you can save on other dental services, including fillings, crowns, orthodontia and teeth whitening. The discount plan is not insurance.

No deductibles or annual maximum

There is no minimum amount that you pay before the plan begins to pay. There is also no maximum limit on how much the plan will cover each plan year.

Getting regular preventive care is important to maintaining good oral health. With this in mind, our dental plan programs are designed to help you keep your teeth and gums health while also helping you control costs.

24/7 Virtual dental visits

With virtual dental visits — also called teledentistry — there’s an easier way to see a dentist without going to the dentist’s office. Use virtual dental visits to: 

  • Get two virtual dental visits at no additional cost to you. These virtual visits are in addition to the routine in-person exams included in your plan. You may need to pay an out-of-pocket cost for additional visits.  
  • Connect with a state-licensed, fully credentialed dentist by computer or mobile device — so you can get the care you need whenever, wherever 
  • Get a second opinion, treatment options or a medically necessary prescription 
  • Consult with a dentist on a variety of nonemergency dental conditions, from oral pain to orthodontia needs, and more 

Important: Data rates may apply. Dental virtual visits are currently unavailable in Maine and Texas. Services may not be available in all states or for all lines of business.  

Preventive MaxMultiplier 

All PPO Dental Plans include Preventive MaxMultiplier®. This excludes the cost of preventive and diagnostic care from the entire annual maximum benefit so that you can have the entire maximum benefit left for other dental care services.
